From Unconditional Love to Love. Period.

The winding journey to freedom inevitably turns the corner to embark on what some call shadow work. This is the work that helps us clear negative energies, transcend inherited and new karma, and remove what is not real in us. It is often a time of strong bravery and deep courage - a time of letting go of what no longer serves us. Unconditional Love is particularly helpful during shadow work: no matter how difficult it may get; Unconditional Love surrounds us and supports our journey - even if our awareness of its existence appears to be occulted.

Then comes the realization - after contemplating on nature of Unconditional Love - that Love cannot be ramped up or down, compartmentalized or altered in any shape or form. The Love we have in our hearts for our children, siblings, parents, spouses, family, and friends is one and only. We may have different feelings or act upon this Love differently depending on the recipient of this Love, however the essence of Love - the Source - is indivisible. Finally, the awareness: “I am You - I am That.”

What a blessing when life reminds us of Love - a leaf, a smile, a present, a fond memory - the recognition of the Self. Smile away for Love cannot be taken away - it can only be recognized over and over again. Absolutely.
